Fitness christmas

Don’t forget to have fun. Ever.

If you haven’t noticed, End of Three Fitness is not like most other blogs out there. I try to write fun, interesting and helpful articles…that, I hope, in some way are making you and me better every day. The only real reason being, is that I was born with some unusual passion for fitness and helping people…[tangent, sorry]…So if End of Three Fitness is aimed at making us better people, but never trying to be the same as everyone else…what would a “Near-the-Holidays” End of Three fitness article be?

Here is what it won’t be:

  • How to Not Overeat During the Holidays

Why you won’t see it at Eo3? I like to think that most people, who subscribe to End of Three Fitness, are intelligent, driven individuals and who are capable of NOT eating what they DON’T want to eat. I believe giving you some sort of “serving size strategy”, only insults your intelligence, and may very well waste your time.

  • How to Avoid Alcohol During the Holidays

Why you won’t see it at Eo3? Because it’s the holidays, and people drink during the holidays. If you want to drink, do so responsibly and with whatever you want to drink. Personally, I am APAP (as Paleo as possible) so I try to drink (drinking is actually pretty rare for me), what won’t leave me feeling bloated and inflamed, but it is as simple as rule #5:

I say we eat like cavemen most of the time. No body is perfect! Cheat meals only make you human and the occasional beer with friends doesn’t need to be passed up for the sake of discipline.

Check out all the rules here.

You didn’t get this form me…

Robb Wolf’s Paleo NorCal Margarita:

  1. 2–3 shots of 100% agave tequila.
  2. Juice and pulp from one lime.
  3. Shake it all up with some ice.
  4. Add soda water to taste.

Be healthy, be fit but have fun.

  • 6 Ways to Holiday 6-Pack Abs

Why you won’t see it at Eo3? Because, honestly, who cares? If you are only interested about contour lines on your abdominals, this seriously is not the place for you. Sure, we all like to look good naked, but that is not our only focus. I believe that to be able to DO a bunch of cool stuff will make you feel better than if you simply achieve “6-pack abs”. But no worries, if the 6 pack is all you want there are about 10,000 secret ways to get them, don’t believe me, just Google it.

Speaking of doing…

I would like to highlight those who DID:

Eo3Fit_Did

Yesterday wrapped up the First Ever 6-Week Challenge, in which I challenged Eo3 nation to do a baseline WOD:

Baseline Workout

For Time:

  • 500 m Row
  • 40 Bodyweight Squat
  • 30 Ab Mat Situps
  • 20 Push Ups
  • 10 Pullups

Then follow the workouts at Eo3Fit for 6 weeks, and try out the baseline WOD again. It was a great 6 weeks! And I would like to brag about some members of Eo3Fit:

  • Tim – Took 45 seconds off his baseline
  • Kim – 2:50 off of the baseline!!
  • Jeffrey – 41 seconds off the baseline
  • Chris (1) – Took 2:21 off his baseline!
  • Nheibj – Knocked 13 seconds off his baseline
  • Adam – Took 1:18 off his baeline
  • Bama – Took 1:40 off his baseline!
  • Chris (2) – 34 seconds off the baseline

Those are the only people who have reported numbers so far…and they all got better!! Great work and good job to all!

I was very impressed with all the hard work everyone put in, and I was excited to see the results roll in yesterday. Don’t worry if you missed this 6-week challenge, another one will be starting soon. I will still be posting workouts at Eo3Fit, but the next 6-Week Challenge will happen after the holidays (or after Christmas, at least).

Moving right along…

The Eo3 brief holiday message:

Don’t forget to have fun. Ever.

That’s it! Don’t forget to have fun this holiday season. Cheat meals only make you human, but don’t gain 20lbs in two weeks! If you have been hitting it hard this year…take a break. I am not one for New Year’s Resolutions or waiting to start anything. But I also think everyone needs a break from time to time.

Take a break this holiday season and have fun!! Enjoy your friends and family.

I will be focusing on my family this holiday season, so no post on Monday for me. I will be having fun with the family 🙂

From my family to yours…Happy Holidays!!
