When is the last time you had fun working out? Some people love training and some people hate training, but you can train and still have fun. Today we look at Blair Morrison and how he keeps training effective and fun.
Blair Morrison
I highlighted Blair Morrison‘s CrossFit Games performances and rest cycles in my post Overtraining and the Value of Rest. It is clear that he is a very dedicated and intelligent athlete. I swear I am not obsessed with the guy. I am just very intrigued by his training routine and attitude.
Today I want to talk a little more about his training and workouts. I have been subscribed to his YouTube channel for a while now, and I am always really impressed with his workouts. He is always outside during his workouts and it just looks like he is having fun. Here is his “bio” video from last years pre-games marketing. It will give you a slightly better idea as to how he trains.
Blair’s Training
If you like the basic idea of these workouts then you HAVE to check out his YouTube channel! When I first found his channel I was on there for like a day straight watching all of his workouts.
How about some crazy high rope climbs, throw some kettlebells in the water, and retrieve them. Awesome.
The Challenge
Here is my challenge to you. Load up some weight, a kettlbell, or your rings…whatever you can get your hands on, and go do a self-created workout outside. I plan on doing it this weekend. I will try to film mine and put it on the blog next week. If you care to share, upload it to YouTube and post to comments.
Good luck! I hope some of you will take the challenge and go have some fun outside! If it’s too cold for some of you, try it anyway!
