Comment on Be a Fitness Efficiency Ninja, or How to Apply the 80/20 Principle to your Training by Timothy L French http://www.endofthreefitness.com/80-20-rule-fitness/#comment-109608 Fri, 02 Mar 2018 23:42:00 +0000 http://www.endofthreefitness.com/?p=11434#comment-109608 So does this mean that 20 minutes of deadlifts and, say, two tabatas of Russian kettlebell swings then 5 leisurely minutes on a rower is a whole workout?

Just want to be sure I understand.

Thanks

Comment on How to Take an Ice Bath by Liam http://www.endofthreefitness.com/how-take-ice-bath/#comment-109606 Sun, 25 Feb 2018 17:15:00 +0000 http://www.endofthreefitness.com/?p=2916#comment-109606 You always need water in an ice bath. I’ve never heard of anyone who used only ice because I’m sure that could be dangerous.

For novices, just remember it is very painful. Ice baths are not for the faint of heart. If you can bear a full body ice bath, I usually go for about 15 minutes fully submerged. Any more time could cause your body more harm. Also, remember that ice baths are not proven to treat deep tissue injuries.

Comment on MURPH 52 Times in a Year: The Numbers by Navy vet- ‘90-‘96 http://www.endofthreefitness.com/murph-numbers/#comment-109603 Sun, 25 Feb 2018 01:31:00 +0000 http://www.endofthreefitness.com/?p=16223#comment-109603 Wow. Great story. I actually started doing Murph every week also since 1/21/18. I didn’t know there was someone else out in the fitness world doing it once a week too. I’ve noticed a lot results. Mainly, I’m more “V” shaped and arms are more defined. Haven’t noticed increase in pr for deadlift or squat. However, my pushups and pull ups are through the roof in just a month. I’m gonna keep on the routine. Good stuff.

Does Jerred not compete? His numbers are certainly high enough to complete at the county or state level. Seems odd.

That really should have been obvious.

I thought it was possible (likely) that Jerred had performed his dead lift pr and/or marathon in competition and that his results could reliably be found online (i.e. on the association’s website.) That would have been evidence.
